At the Writing Night at the Chüechlihus Regional Museum, objects and rooms are explored through writing, reviving old things. DO, February 22, 2024, 7.30 – 9.00 p.m. LIFE READING with Anina Schärer Join us for a participatory reading in the rooms of the museum! Together we let the fiction spill over into real space. Graphics and texts, song notations and signs from the book “In the advertised house” by Anina Mirjam Schärer find correspondences in the museum objects and the exhibition settings. The “meticulously arranged graphics and texts” in the book are a “polyphonic view of things”. They are twisted and turned, sometimes turned upside down, placed in other contexts, picked apart, torn apart, shredded, amputated, deformed, enlarged, reduced in size, messed up, interlaced and – there is also this – meaningfully reassembled.” (From: “Nothing is as it seems” by Petra Brixel on literaturkritik.de) We playfully explore the agency of objects and listen to how fictional books describe them. At the end of the evening, in the form of an aperitif, we raid the pantry (mentioned in the book).
