Guided tours in German, French, and English; duration: approximately 1 1/2 hours; for groups of up to 20 people. After a one-hour guided tour of the museum, we’ll accompany you on a 30-minute walk through the village to a dining spot at or near Hirschenplatz. At selected stops along the way, you’ll learn more about the history and buildings of Langnau. We’d be happy to provide you with information about the current regulations and our safety measures when you contact us.

Tour of Langnau

Langnau, as the center of the upper Emmental, has a very heterogeneous development. Urbanization began as early as 1900 and the previously rural village became increasingly diverse.
If you walk through Langnau with open eyes, you will discover an incredible wealth of magnificent houses, unusual shapes and pretty details. On a guided tour, you will learn about the building history, the past and the development of the village.

We offer guided tours of the village in German, French, English and Italian.

Chüechlihus and Bären – regionality and culinary delights in Emmental

The Emmental is not only known for its idyllic hilly landscape and flower-decorated farmhouses, but also for its traditions. On this tour, you will discover the culinary highlights of the Emmental, take a look behind the scenes of innovative producers and experience regionality at first hand.

1. Kambly experience, Trubschachen: Explore the origins of the traditional brand and discover the secret of the art of pastry making.
2. Gasthof Bären, Ranflüh: Enjoy good food, a lovely ambience and warm Emmental hospitality in this pretty country inn.
3. Chüechlihus Regional Museum, Langnau: immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of the oldest largely original wooden building in the region.

Suggested program
10.00 a.m. Visit to the Kambly Experience, the birthplace of Switzerland’s best-known and most popular biscuit brand.
11.00 a.m. Transfer to Ranflüh.
11.30 a.m. A small aperitif with Swiss wine and samples of cheese and sausage from the farm awaits you at the Gasthof Bären Ranflüh.
12.00 hrs Afterwards we serve you a delicious Emmental 3-course menu
14.00 hrs Transfer to the Chüechlihus Regional Museum in Langnau
