Solidarity in times of war

The Chüechlihus Regional Museum shows solidarity with people affected by war

What happens when suddenly everything that we are – everything that defines us – is in danger?
What happens to us when others are in danger?
As a museum, a member of the Swiss Museums Association and a partner of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the Chüechlihus Regional Museum stands in solidarity with people affected by war. It is committed to protecting tangible and intangible cultural heritage and combating the destruction of cultural identities as far as it can, and its work attempts to help put events into context.

DONATION
At the start of the 2022 season the museum donated the entire proceeds from the admission fees on Saturday and Sunday,
19. and
March 20, 2022: a total of CHF 400.00
to the organization“Blue Shield International”. The NGO “Blue Shield International” is a UNESCO-affiliated organization dedicated to the protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Particular importance is attached to the protection of cultural property in conflict, disaster and emergency situations.

WALL OF SUPPORT
In addition, the Chüechlihus Regional Museum has set up a wall in its foyer where museum visitors can post their thoughts, questions and statements.
The museum will take up parts of these and discuss them via its channels and in the company of relevant experts.
